So the 3D TVs are moving toward main stream, i was just looking at the Samsung C8000, it looks very nice. Maybe wait for the next ones though until they totally solve the "CrossTalk" issues. There are two types of 3D method 1. Polarised (Passive Glasses), 2. Alternating (Active Glasses). There are excellent reasons why the broadcasters and TV manufacturers are somewhat adopting Active in the short term anyway. But thats not what my crazy idea is about.
Both technologies work by showing one image to the left eye and another to the right; to achieve this Passive tech uses the physics of light in a complicated way, and Active is much simpler and more mechanical (your dad will understand it). But thats not what my crazy idea is about.
I was reading around trying to see if the latest GT5 release date is fantasy; which it doesnt seem to be this time (lets hope), and i had a crazy idea. The single most annoying thing about racing games is when you have some mates around you have to take it in turns or play in an unacceptably divided screen, half or even quarter each. So my crazy idea is instead of having the video driver of the PC or Console output the left and right eye to the 3D tech, why not output two players screens instead. Thus both players have a full screen view not a half. I admit some pirate style eyepatching may be required to block the other player, or "two player glasses" (as opposed to "3D glasses") which provide a alternating / filtered monoscopic scenario.

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?
