    Re: Bc2

i've not been experiencing any dropouts but i do only play for half an hour at time, i have been experiencing really bad lag to the point where the game is unplayable. Supposedly the pings were under 100.

Ive also received an email today from noreply@steampowered.com telling me that someone has asked to reset my password - it wasnt me. Should i report it?

Only play on Xbox 360 and never once had a drop out or lag or anything.
In June for an evening I had some connectivity issues. But that's it.

Have to admit, this is my experience also.

When the old gaming PC died, I wasn't sure if I could afford to build another one so I bought this on the 360. Not a single problem with the 360 version, PC version seems to work on some servers and suffers on others

    Re: Bc2

I have lots of problems with lag and used to suffer the server browser problem which I sorted.

This is strange because I had the game running fine on Windows Vista 64 but since I moved onto Windows 7 64 its all been nightmares!!!

In order to fix the lag though the general consesus is the following:

-Tell your antivirus not to check inside the BF2 folders (the one in My Documents and the one in Program Files)
    - Disable the service for Windows Media Sharing
    - Network Performance Throttling
    Open regedit
    Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile
There will be an entry for network performance throttling, default value is 10; set it to FFFFFFFF hex (willl look like 0xFFFFFFFF to the right of the entry)
    Reboot

I still have lots of lag though, when I walk and then stop suddenly my character starts drifting to the old position. My lag is around 200-400.

I use a Linksys WIreless Adapter but as I said under Windows Vista it used to run fantastically well, I mean, no lag whatsoever!!! So anyone knows?
