About LinkBacksAnyone else getting unexplained dropouts ? I'll be happily playing and suddenly 'lost connection'. Is it me, or is it common ?

Constantly get this on the PC version. Will be playing a game then all of a sudden you are booted back to the main menu. Sometimes it can happen after spending over an hour on a server.
Pretty much given up on it for now on the PC, playing on the 360 version at the moment, a bit of a nightmare having to rank up again and get used to the controller but at least I can play for hours on end and not once have a single game drop on me.
I will bounce back to the PC once they sort it, if they ever do.

to be fair it has happened to me but it is pretty rare tbh, it will sometimes quit to the main menu but never to desktop, on the other hand playing mass effect 1 and fallout 3 crash quite a lot but not to level where I will start pulling out my hair
Never crashes to desktop but when you are sitting on almost 25k worth of xp and then it dumps you to the main menu during a game or just as the map is about to finish you get sick of it, must happen 4 or 5 times a week and I am a light player of the game on the PC.Originally Posted by Iron Sights

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Ive had several dropouts/disconnections lately,i just assumed it was my broadband connection or high pings.
Just for info - I'm getting 1-2 dropouts a day.

Few days ago I was getting drop outs every 5 minutes in the afternoon/evening, today I haven't had any problems. I'm using Virgin Media 10mb connection.
Every 10 or 20 minutes i got the lost connection error..changed router from o2 to netgear and it doesn't seem to happen for some reason now.
i only get these when i connect to my router via the wireless connection, once i plug the cable in, its all fine?
so you all using wireless?
our boiler broke so we has no heating or hot water, this is the bloody result ^^
No WiFi, always on wired. Most the crash to menu issues happen in the multiplay servers for me.

Exactly the same for me..as i say only changing routers has helped..(it's the only game i have a problem with btw).
I also use a wired connection, I find it better for pc gaming, unless I'm on my ps3
