    Re: Ferrari Virtual Academy

Erm, F1 rights? Guess this is Ferrari sticking their fingers up at them and/or maintaining exceptions.

They are allowed to sell the rights to their own car. But the car on it's own isn't F1.

Williams have sold their FW31 car to Iracing aswell.

Laser scanned tracks and Ferrari doing the model of their own car, this will be very good.

Not (this year's) F1.. however every time someone whispers 'he's faster than you' you have to slow down and stop racing

Ooo, when's the world council hearing actually?

The Ferrari is this years car, the Williams is last years car. But it's been in the works for a while.

    And September 8th

My message will be slightly different. "everyone is faster than you, no need to slow down"

Hope this is till available for Dl when ig et back - looks quite high quality.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

I was going to make a crack about the game setting fire to your PC or console, but you got there before me.

What's it feel like to drive, and controller setup are you using?

It's very expensive for what you get, unfortunately, and as I'm not tifosi I think I need to know more before splashing out

I would ask for a demo, but seeing how much content this has, a demo would probably just be the pit lane :/

    I'm using a G25 wheel.

The ffb is excellent, it's something that will only have a comparison to those that have played Iracing or Netkar pro. (the later is the game engine this is based on)

As for price, it is expensive for what you get, it's around £12 for a track and a car with just private session or Hotlapping.

Muggello (October 14) and Nurburgring GP (November 11 ) to follow at 9.90 Euros each. so about £8.

This sounds like alot, but with the laser scanning of the tracks, it's not something that's cheap.
The only other sim that laser scans it's tracks routinely is Iracing which offers the tracks at $11.95 for short tracks and $14,95 for long.
Trouble i'm sure most people with have, is the cost with no MP online racing. Which is a bit of a shame, no info as yet as to what's coming once the competition is over. At the mo even the private practice requires login to the server.
They may just patch it for offline rather than add MP. But there's really no info on it yet. Just me guessing

That being said, this is my 'thing' and i'm enjoying it. Quite surprised it's a bit easier than i thought to control though. Toughest thing for me is judging the braking distances just right. Traction seems better than i imagined though.

The telemetry is a nice feature aswell

Nice.. can see where you lost a bit of time Massa is either braking 100% or accelerating 100% pretty much. On the second deceleration (corner?) you just lift, while Massa stabs the brake, and then throttle.. and you braked early for the 4th one

    That lap = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6REiKhjwfE

After T1, there's a 4th gear right left. That's where i'm loosing the most time.

But i never pretend to be anything other than mediocre

    Re: Ferrari Virtual Academy

Heh I don't think I'd get anywhere close Same problem I have with karting - I can usually nail one or two corners and be quicker through them than other people.. but I can't nail a whole laps worth of corners.
