    Your Gaming Hardware Heritage?

So Steve's thread about dead gaming franchises got me to thinking about all the systems I've played them on over the years. My question to you is what gaming consoles/systems, from earliest to latest, have you owned over the years? (The chronological order might be a bit off)

    Here's mine:

Commodore 16+4 (loved it, anyone remember Fireant?)
Atari 2600 (loved it, really miss the joystick)
Commodore 64 (loved it, still remember getting Robocop on cartridge for this, no loading times!)
Sega Megadrive (loved it, I miss Golden Axe)
SNES (adored it, don't think I've ever been more excited about a console release than I was for this)
Commodore Amiga (really loved it, 1st introduction to RTS games)
Sega Saturn (Hated it - got rid of it within a week)
Atari Jaguar (Crazy Joypad, ahead of its time)
Sega Dreamcast (great console, lost many hours on Soul Caliber)
    Sony Playstation
A couple of crappy HP PCs (from PC World, enough said)
Nintendo Gamecube (great little machine, wish I still had it just for the Star Wars game)
    Xbox
    Nintendo DS
    Xbox 360
    Current Gaming Rig (see specs)

    I know I've forgotten something.

So whats your gaming heritage? Also if you could pick a favourite? Think I'd have to go for the SNES.

    Re: Your Gaming Hardware Heritage?

    I think...

All-in-one Compaq Presario, Win 95, 66MHz 486, 8MB RAM, 600MB hard drive (many happy hours of simtown and Grand Prix)
eMachines, Win ME 667MHz Celeron, 64MB RAM (World Cup 98, Sims, probably more)
PS1 (the slim one, many happy hours of Driver 1 + 2)
    Gameboy Color
Dell Dimension (P4 3GHz, FX5200 then 7800GS - years of Battlefield 2 played on that in later years)
PS2 (Burnout, burnout and more burnout, plus San Andreas)
    Current rig
    PS3

    And there we go!

    From memory:

    Consoles:

    Vectrex
    Atari 2600
    Vic 20
    ZX Spectrum
Amiga 500+ (With its amazing 1/2 MB memory expansion)
    Sega Master System 1 & 2
    Sega Game Gear
    Sega Mega Drive
    SNES
    PS1
    GameCube
    PS2
    DS
    XBOX 360

    PC's:

    486 dx 66mhz
P1 166 (some crappy Packard Bell thing)
    P2 450
    P3 650 + voodoo 3000
    Athlon XP 1GHz + Hercules GF3 Ti500
    P4 2.53Ghz HT with a GF4 Ti4200 then upgraded to a 6800 then a 7800
Q6600 G0 stepping clocked to 3.2Ghz +8800GS then that died and now using the machine in my specs.

Almost certain I have missed huge chunks out of the PC section but this is all I can remember off the top of my head

    Re: Your Gaming Hardware Heritage?

Extending it a bit to the systems I;ve used (though not necessarily owned, as the first couple of items should make clear), my gaming experience runs from :-

    IBM S360 mainframe - in the 60's
    ICL 1905 mainframe (with DEC PDP10 & 11 FEPs, in the '70's)
Apple II in the late '70s (still have that, and it still works)

    ....

    up to :-

    - a whole range of PCs, starting in about 1983 or 84
    - Xbox 360
    - a variety of hand-held devices

Life's to short to itemise the whole lot. Besides .... my lunch is in the grill, and about done.
