Well, I dunno what they did - but the machine is running at least 50% better.
On Windows Update no less !

Maybe windows update cleared some malware off your computer![]()
Does anyone know if it has any hotfixes for Black Ops? I'm still having performance woes.![]()
Same here, but with getting the 360 version so I could play the game with vouchers I had, now level 30 I doubt I could be bothered to go through on the PC version anymore to build up the levels again.
From what I have heard though the CoD:BO PC fixes did fix the performance issues but if the pings go up slightly mid game you get all the stuttering again :/
On the PC I only get a smooth game if the pings sit below 50ms above that the stuttering is back. Looking at the Black Ops forums a lot of people are saying 10.11 sorts out a lot of the performance issue's with the PC version. I may check it out when I get home this evening.
Big difference in BC2. No stuttering, smooth as a tom cat p***ing on velvet. A huge change from 10.10.
Haven't tried CoD:BO yet. Will keep you posted.

Completely crap for me
Get a section of screen corruption, it flashes up occasionally on the desktop and stays on screen 90%+ of the time when I start a game. Also, MLAA feature is missing that was in 10.10c and 10.10e
Gone back to 10.10e for now.
As for Black Ops, I doubt any drivers will fix it, mines finally running smoothly now (90fps+) but only with Crossfire disabled and I still set the occasional stutter but they happen minutes apart, instead of seconds apart now. BO fixes were all console and game tweeks, although none that reduced IQ (except MLAA or SSAA, my resolution is too high to use these without CFX working)....got everything on full @ 2560x1600 still.

Blocked at work, but I'll try later from home. Is that the W7 64 ?

I believe that it contains both 32 and 64 bit.
And the moniker "hotfix" is slightly misleading as it is a complete set of drivers + CCC, 130MB iirc.

In answer to my own question (if anyone else is in a similar boat), moving to 10.11 has resolved my Black Ops performance issues - it's actually playable now! Amazing.
