Woohoo! Downloading....
And don't forget to log into your EA account if you want to unlock those juice extras in the full game![]()
Getting terrible speeds via EA, Gamershell seems much better at the moment. (Just wait 'til I've finished please)
1.9gb download for about 30mins gaming (including cut scenes).
I'm not very impressed - reminds me most of all of Guild Wars, which can be good or bad, but I don't think it suits a deep RPG. Feels and looks like GW in the combat and area/art design. Demo has some very obviously rough edges which is unlike Bioware.
Yep, it's live on there now

Totally agree, to me it feels extremely arcady and nothing like the original/expansion... its utter pants so far, graphics aren't anything great when I'm getting huge lag spikes and High is intolerable even without AA and only 8x ASF, medium is playable but still some spikes.
Is it me or are there NO real effects when you attack as a melee character? Only when you really kill them or do a special skill does it do something basic, it feels as if its just moves from a to c but skips B. I really hope this is just the equivalent of the crysis leaked version (not that Ive tried that!) and that bioware are sorting this epicly... it really doesn't seem like a bioware made game to me
.
A lot needs doing in the next 20 days! :*(.
Watched my brother play it and just thought of Dynasty Warriors.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Hmm terbinator i think your actually spot on, cross between that and GW tbh... seems its really consoliled which just ruins it, especially since bioware have generally been great to the PC community, perhaps EA has told them to stop it?![]()
wow, i died twice (should have got a heal spell earlier) but still very impressed. Love the new combat!

I watched some of the game play videos and it all seems a little bit... namco or capcom now, put me right off. Think I may give DAO2 a miss and opt for the Witcher 2, it looks a bit more gritty.

Whilst the combat looks like your typical hack n' slash game, the actual experience couldn't be further from it.
DA2 requires nowhere near the amount of manual dexterity or timing compared to the likes of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden etc. (your typical action/adventure hack n' slash games - i'd lump in God of War, but having never played it, i wouldn't want to assume... nor to insult the other games).
In reality combat bears more in relation to recent MMOs and the original DA, except that the animations have been sped up and made more flashy. Under the hood, it's still very similar to DA1, although you'll probably have to turn up the difficulty if you want to return to the "pause and plan" mechanic of the first game.
