    Modern Warfare 3

    http://www.findmakarov.com/

Countdown ends slap bang in the middle of the GDC next week.

There are rumours it's fake though..

An Activision spokesperson issued this statement to IGN saying, "There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project. Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax." - Taken from MW3 wikipedia

    Re: Modern Warfare 3

Its obviously going to come out, when is another matter hoax or whatever.

Question is, do we really need ANOTHER Call of Duty game, REALLY??

CoD1 and 4 were the best, Black Ops was just a very bad joke.

I disagree, but each to their own, 1 and 4 had the best pacing and most believable storytelling and scenarios, exquisite gunplay

pretty much sort of agree with that. loved cod2 as it was fun and didn't mind getting whooped as it was virtually a level playing field so to speak, the hackers weren't as prevalent as they are now. that's what made it so enjoyable, but now it's nothing more than hope and frustration. although cod4 was great (the last great cod game) it's since that & bf2142 that the hackers and cheats really came to the fore.

Of course not. Activision are just milking the name for every last penny they can get, and gamers lap it up without realising they're not adding ANYTHING new except for a few weapon skins, a couple of slightly different maps and a slightly different story in SP, whilst still overcharging for it (MW2 and CODBLOPS are still £39.99 on Steam ).

    Re: Modern Warfare 3

Well instead of CoD Black Ops, my mother bought me Medal of Honor from Steam last weekend, single player is a bit short but it was one hell of a ride. Multiplayer is decent but its very much run and gun type gameplay as the maps are to small and there arnt enough.

On Friday I spent 20 quid and picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2, finished the single player this morning and started my trek into multiplayer, which has to be played as a team to actually get anywhere. Must admit like the multiplayer better on this than on MoH

As for CoD, I have played all of them except Modern Warfare 2, never played them online though. Must admit my favourite still has to be the origional and its expansion. CoD2 was fun but I think the series started to lose its direction after that.

For me I cant wait for BFBC3 when it lands later this year and when the new MoH lands (most likely next year) thats where my money will be spent.

CoD MW2 MP is a complete joke. They absolutely screwed the PC community with the lack of being able to run/choose servers.

I think your find it's just BF3 not bfbc3, but it will be one hell of a game.

    Re: Modern Warfare 3

Yeah, thats the one gtech mate, I just assumed it was going to be Bad Company again with the SP on Bad Company 2 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger to be continued.

Either way, I'm not getting any more of the CoD games, single player is just tacked on and multiplayer is sheer run & gun gameplay. Hence why I opted for MoH and now Battlefield. I've never been into multiplayer side of things but to get more out of my purchases decided to take the plunge and its surprising how much I am actually enjoying it.

in total agreement. I chose MOH over black ops and really really enjoyed it, I wont be going back to cod unless something super special comes out.
