Just installed my copy and now waiting for Steam to download the last bit which is taking forever, but then i guess every man and his dog is doing the same lol
Has anyone else started playing it? Any pro/cons so far?

I personally won't be touching it until I've played through DA2 at least the once, but I'm hoping for good things.
I've just spent the last 30 min trying to install the thing.
There's a reapearing problem with steam, when you put a disc in to install a game that runs through steam, it goes through the options and then tries to downlaod it....??
Shut it down started again and despite already having autherised my copy told me the servers were too busy to deal with my request?? My request to install my game from my DVD??
Bill Oddie Steam
Oh well, all sorted now. Just started installing, might not get to play in till tommorrow now. But looking forward to it![]()
Did the first couple of battles earlier in the campain. First thing i noticed was that the AI does not always attack.
It was a given in previous games that unless you had overwhelming superiority they seemed to throw themselves at you early on. It seemed they were determined to stay put in the first battle i tried. But in moving my troops my archers became vunrable and the enemy general attacked.
I'd say it's still pretty similar though, improved AI. Missions come to you in the campain which they didn't before. You just had own X provinces.
There's yet another difference with reinforcing units too, rather than paying and waiting 2 turns in empire. Each unit has the ability to reinforce a certain number of units for each turn.
Seems a good first impression. Yet to get really in depth with it though.
My first impression was that it is EXTREMELY drainage but then I'm running ancient tech (AMD 939 socket :O) but it seems to thrive on an SSD hard drive, buckets of RAM and a decent CPU, building a new PC.
On to the game. Very good presentation, menus are presented very well.
Only managed to play one historical battle, the sounds and graphics are excellent and gameplay-wise, it handles as I expected similarly to Medieval 2.
You'll find that tactics are even more important than ever before as the factions all have similar units much like in Medieval 2, flanking with supporting units and cavalry is essential.
Have a looky here is you'd like to know more about the game.
I've played the demo and read through all the independent feedback. So it's currently downloading![]()
