I didn't play much of the original crysis, but I loved it, Crysis 2 on the otherhand is a real let down, it's an OK game, but no where near as good as the original.
Thankfully BF3 will be a proper PC game.

I genuinely don’t understand what people are crying (not talking about anyone here, but on the internet in general) about (or even why!). I’m running this game on 3 year old hardware (see sig) with everything on lowest possible settings with a resolution of 1920x1200. And it runs perfect (40FPS~). No issues at all. No lagging, no slowing down. Even with everything on low, it looks fantastic.
I haven’t touched SP, been playing solely MP. And all of us playing it love it. In fact we have all stopped playing ET:QW, BC2 and COD:BO to play this. MP is really fun to play. The weapons aren’t overpowered, balance seems good. Everything has a counter (expect maybe when I kick a car in your face ).
Only consistent issue we have ran into is connecting to host problems, and some friends not being able to connect randomly. They could improve that for sure.
Hit detection seems to be another [small] issue. I don’t know if it’s me, but some times I clearly hit them but it doesn’t detect properly :\ It’s probably just me and my crappy aim.
Based solely on my MP experience (I’m only Rank 9, so it could be just beginners luck) so far I’d give it a solid 9/10 and I haven’t even touched SP.
I wish people would get off the 'consolized game' record and jump on the 'badly developed game in general' one.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Low res textures (half the size of the Crysis ones), two generation old DX9 support, poor physics/destructible environments, crap FOV, no options, no cvar support - in fact, basically everything that was gutted just prior to release (much of this WAS in the game only to be pulled out) - the list goes on. There's plenty of evidence published, read around. The game was unnecessarily compromised on the PC by it's console origin - that's what people are upset about and it's absolutely the truth whether you like it or not I'm afraid. Not that there isn't some good in there - it's just that things could and ought to have been a lot better. Is that unreasonable? I don't think so. I hope I shall enjoy playing it but i'm always going to be wondering what it could of been if the focus had been on the PC rather than implementing it as a last minute fork of the code. In many ways it's a step back, not forward. Shame.
Worse still was Crytek led everybody to believe the opposite - that's not really bought them many friends. Whether the decisions they made were due to politics (it can't look better on another platform) or financial (can't justify spending resource on the PC version due to returns) they certainly weren't technical because we all know what Crytek were once capable of.
Regardless, i'm glad you're enjoying it, I hope to as well

I really enjoyed the single player of this game (havent tried multiplayer yet) - and the graphics were very good (if not the best dx9 game I have seen).
I would love it if they did bring out a dx11 patch to really strain my machine though.

This is the tool for more control over the graphic options. Get it from here. Might help some people with graphics cards who have problems with some of them.

This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...
System 1: Intel i5-2500k OC STABLE @5.05ghz with a ThermaTake Frio (air power!), 8Gb 1600 (9-9-9-24) R3 Patriot G2 RAM, nVidia GTX980TI ;

System 4: Samsung TAB S 10.1
Unplayable with my CF setup. I'll just have to wait for a patch.
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
And in other news, Crytek have announced today that they will release a special version of Crysis 2 with all the DX11 graphics galore.
Supposedly the DX11 patch will take a few months:
http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/news/136...rewell-Hudson/
TBH,it looks like I will be getting this game when it is around £15 in a few months time.
For your cross fire setup you have gone into the ATi CCC and under profile settings create a profile for Crysis 2 and set everything to application controlled and use the config editor above to set the settings. This will fix the flickering/second GPU not fully utilized.
OR
You have this option:
http://tehparadox.com/forum/f18/crys...*fix*-1813331/ modified exe file from paradox team that takes out the 1.1. autopatcher nonsense and fixes the flicker (This is the one a few of my friends have used and works great) This is of course you are talking about the flicker issue?
Might be worth following this too:
https://twitter.com/#!/catalystcreator
They have already mentioned 2 updates for the profiles for Crysis 2 and more on the way it seems.
Just needs a profile fix, thats all You can however do this yourself if you get the Bioshock 2 profile and rename it Crysis 2 and point it to the Crysis 2 install etc you should see 99% of your issue's disappear. If you do grab the ATi profile fix make sure you get the right one as for some reason in Crytek's wisdom, the retail, steam and EA Downloader versions are all different
