    B.o.r.3.d.

It's like the past 6 years never happened. FEAR 3 does nothing to further the series in any way. The first level sees you escaping a prison (have we done this in loads of games before?), by navigating a maze of cells, corridors and stairways. Not forgetting the wave after wave after wave of identical-looking soldiers. Yawn.

Move on, nothing to see here...

Is that the full review or can we expect a extended version later on lol.

On a lighter note it seems to have got mixed responses from review sites, some quite like it others hate it, personally not a big fan of fear couldn't even finish the first game as it was so repetitive.

    Re: B.o.r.3.d.

I'm actually quite enjoying it actually, its better than 2 by a significant margin.

As much as this is a console-fest, it feels a lot less consoley than FEAR 2 did, but I must say that having to re-earn your special moves it a little silly, how the hell can you forget your moves and playing against those Armcham guys makes the Point-Man feel so....ordinary even with the bullet-time on.

The sprint and "cover" functions feel so uncomfortably out of place in FEAR as far as I'm concerned, I feel that they should have gone back to the original's combat mechanics.

Those minor niggles aside, I think its a step in the right direction for F.E.A.R.

I agree that single player is pretty much similar to previous FEAR games (but with 2 player) but they do it quite well so I don't see what more they could do?

However, the different multiplayer game modes are quite fun to play and unique

I lost interest with the FEAR series halfway though the first game. Pure torture of identical environments and enemies.

The original game was one of the very few games to scare me ****less with the old 'background muzik fades to nothing and then a monstie throws itself thorugh a window' trick.

Doom 3 was the first. Doom 3 + headphones + lights off = brown trousers time.
