    Autofire keyboard ?

Ive tried unsuccessfully to use mad catz joytstick on both the pc / xbox360 but it doesnt agree with my hands.

Ive tried a logitech g15 but it doesnt work with half the damm games I want it to play on , so its starting to becomw very frustrating to find a safe way of gaming due my disability " fragile hand joints ".

Keyboards seem easier on my hands , but the problem comes with repeated button mashing which i just cant do - or mouse clicking ( i.e. witcher ) so Ive been trying to find a way round it.

Ideally what would be great is keyboard with autofire that repeated for as long as you held down the key , but as that doesnt seem to exist I wondered if there are any other options other than fiddly macros / programs like autoclicker ( which again do not always work -like that runescape )

Theres actually someone else i know with the same issue of really bad joints like myselfso it would be great if we could both get online at some point and play something other than the usual restrictive games ( mainly 3rd person shooters which im sick to death of ) and something else .

    cheers,

    m

ah yes. I've a problem with games that require 'button mashing' too -- the worst are console ports, I find. (My disability is a neuro-muscle one, rapid button-mashing is something I can't do). One thing which helps (I can play Witcher 2 now, for example) is an xbox gamepad with an autofire function - what I do is by using the keyboard/mouse as normal, and when the game requires it I change control to the autofire gamepad, play the games' autofire bit, and when done I switch back to keyboard/mouse.

In Witcher 2, I wouldn't of been able to progress beyond the first crossbow/firing/aiming mode (which yes, needs button mashing!)

    Re: Autofire keyboard ?

There is an easy answer here

    Microsoft Sidewinder X6

    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/657912...%7Cprd:6579128

It's a brilliant keyboard- with all the macro and autofire options you could want, plus it looks awesome and has a red backlight (which can be turned off) and a bunch of other features like a detachable numpad. Looks even better if you get the matching sidewinder mouse

Microsoft are well known for their keyboards/mice, as they are some of the best you can buy - that £40 keyboard is vastly superior in terms of feel/quality than the £60 logitech G15 for example - it just doesnt have that rather pointless display

Its the compatability that worries me , what if it only works with 50 out of date games ?

I use a SFIV FIGHTPAD, which, as I play Streetfighter IV, moves the RL/RB buttons onto the front to give 6, but the autofire mode as been used plenty.

Although, looking on ebay shows there are cheaper autofire ones about.

I tried the playstation 3 version of for the hori fightstick for the pc , but it didnt work.

I just cant use gamepads at all as its too thumb heavy for me and just makes my hands worse fast.

Perhaps Autokey scripting is my only option ?

macros are probably the best way, if not the only way
maybe try adding gaps in time between the repeating presses if possible

I tried using Autokey on Risen ( old rpg game i love ) but it wont work , apprently Autokey ( so i heard ) has some issue with non windowed games..

And of course g-15 keyboard hardly works with any games .

I guess the only other thing are those gaming gloves wich look crap
