Counterstrike requires practice to learn the weapon spray etc. also ping is a lot more important than tf2 and its spam style shooting/exploding. Also people know the maps and likely camping spots. Possible reasons for your demise.

I haven't bought anything in the Steam sale so far.
Has anyone played Divinity II or Mafia? Are they any good?
Does anyone have any other recommendations from today's offers?
I managed to miss buying a few games myself!!
BTW,if any of you can contribute to this thread it would be appreciated and it doesn't matter if your PC is not the latest and greatest:

Mafia is probably worth a punt at £5. I would have liked Dirt 3 to be closer to £15 myself - guess I'll just wait for the Halloween/Christmas sale for that.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
The Steam sale has been updated again. Doesn't look like a very good day for deals. Might consider Sam & Max for £6.24 (75% off). Portal 2 and DeadSpace 2 are also on offer today, but only 50% off. Not amazing.
Terraria 4 Pack (£4.49) for less than the normal cost of a single copy. Sounds good to me
I didn't really pay much attention to that, as I've never heard of that game before. It looked like something you might download for free from the Android MarketTerraria 4 Pack (£4.49) for less than the normal cost of a single copy. Sounds good to me
Is it any good then?
According to the reviews, yes. Looked pretty interesting in Giant Bomb's Quicklook too. For the price I won't complain if it entertains me for a few hours. About the same price as a loaf of bread
I checked out that Quicklook - it does look quite interesting actually. And like you say, you can't really go wrong for £1.49.
For anyone who hasn't already got them, I'd also recommend Fallout 3, and Mass Effect 1 and 2 - all of which are currently 66% off.
Post Apocalyptic Mayhem (PAM) looks tempting at £1.49 (or £3.74 for a 3-Pack). Judging from this video, it reminds me of Vigilante 8 but with a focus on racing too.
EDIT: This video appears to give more detail.

Thanks, just bought the 3 pack. It's been on offer before but with it having just 3 tracks, I'd passed. Noticed there's free DLC* adds, among other things, another track. Got to keep encouraging those developers who improve on initial releases with more than bug fixes
Edit: *Needs to be added through the store.
