    Just Cause 2 DLC

I got this on the Steam Summer Sale and have been enjoying it so far, but I am a bit confused about the DLC. I purchased all of the DLC in the sale and assumed that like other games, the DLC would be automatically added to the game, however I don't have any of it.

I can see the items in the black market, but surely paying for the DLC doesn't just enable you to buy the items in game and not just have them? That would be insane, no?

Also, with regards to black market purchases, say I buy a vehicle and it gets blown up, do I have to buy another one or can I get it to respawn somewhere?

    Re: Just Cause 2 DLC

If you buy the DLC, you can buy the items in game.

If you don't buy the DLC, you can't buy the items in game.

Is it me, or does that suck? Some of those items cost hundreds of thousands and you can only use them once then have to buy them again!

    Re: Just Cause 2 DLC

Well I'd rather have that than a situation where you were encouraged to pay real money in place of in game money :/

I think there's plenty of in game money to be had, so it's not too bad. Or you could just use a mod that makes them free in game.

    Re: Just Cause 2 DLC

You can keep hold of the 2 handed rifle with the sniper scope (DLC rifle, bought it myself when it was cheap the other day) and just restock the ammo from one of the many crates lying about when on a mission. Beauty of this rifle is that you can do single shot or if you pull left trigger it is automatic.

Theres loads of money to be had ingame anyhow, stockpile it for buying weapons. Instead of using black market vehicles just use what is there already gta style, there are so many helicopters, bikes and cars! So when you do need to grab one of the DLC items you have plenty cash to spare

I wouldn't pay real money for in game money, but when buying DLC you normally just "get" the items, rather then paying RL money to enable you to use in game money to buy things. Just seemed kinda weird.

Is that the Bulls Eye Assault Rifle? Will check it out.

Cool, have only played for a few hours so am still finding stuff out. The vehicles seem a bit cumbersome to drive, but yeah, there are plenty about. Hadn't realised money was so easy to get.

    Re: Just Cause 2 DLC

Yeah, thats the rifle I was talking about.

I usually use a helicopter to get about ingame, land it near an objective and go do what needs doing then leave and jump back into the helicopter onto next destination. To get more money just head to an unmarked yellow dot on the map and liberate the village / town. This serves 3 purposes, money and getting the next agency mission to forward things and capture more area on the map.
