It's supposed to be for Americans only at the moment, not sure why, but you can get it working fine over here with a little playing around.
I tried to make the img file size as small as I could but any less than that and the quality went down hill fast.
I really like it, I do use my Xbox a lot so it's good to be able to look at messenger and see who's on. You get the little alerts like you do with normal MSN when someone comes online or invites you into a game.

Call me stupid, but i've signed up for it on the US xbox live site but the tab isn't appearing, I'm missing something here right ?

Go to your MSN profile and change your location to the US. After restarting MSNM you should get the tab.

Well I never used to because they were all useless to me, but this one will be getting a lot of use from me in the future.

that's an enbarassed smiley? i always thought of it as more shocked, but not quite "eek" shocked.
ah, I always thought it was a embarrassed smiley. But then it's always looked like someone yawning to me, so I used to think it was a bored type smile. If you hover your mouse over it, it says embarrassment.
