    Question Who plays MMORPGS/MMOFPS games?

Some of you ugly lot musta played or do play these types of games.

    Personally I been through:

    Ultima Online (4 - 5 years)
    Daoc
    Anarchy Online
    SWG
    Planetside

And quite a few more I cant remember. There are quite a few of these about now and things like Matrix Online looming on the horizon, what do you lot play? Anything interesting? I am still trying to fill my UO void that I stopped playing a couple years back.

When you get your Jedi slot open it's starts off a whole new section of the game with a new skill tree to master, but it takes ages and ages. They are changing the path to the Jedi in the next patch/publish, where it's going to be based on completed quests rather than just skill points.

We had a bash at Planetside but the lag was too much on my old Dell however I built a beast so maybe I should try it again? Are there many people playing it still?

Started my MMORPG/MMOG career at the end of 1998...

Played Ultima Online for 18 months on the Europa shard, got 7*GM on all my characters so got bored.

Started Asheron's Call in June 2000 and played that for 3 years straight, had 2 accounts on Frostfell server and let them lapse shortly after hitting level 126 on my main char.

Tried the Asheron's Call 2 beta in its end period - graphically it was nice but the gameplay sucked, same with Anarchy Online.
Tried Dark Ages of Camelot beta but didn't like that.

Went into Star Wars Galaxies (Bria server) around August 2003, but got bored of that in only a few months - had 3 accounts in that game.
(Mastered armoursmith and weaponsmith on one char hehe.)

Tried Horizons early this year - got as far as installing it, playing it once for about an hour, never played it since (graphics are awful, and the chars run far too slowly).

Tried City of Heroes (Justice server) around April, only lasted about 6 weeks in that before I got bored and the novelty wore off - the character creation screen was the most fun bit

Dabbled with the E3 beta of Guild Wars, but there was something distinctly "missing" from that, not quite sure what.

Currently playing AC again just for something to pass the time while we all wait patiently for Dragon Empires and/or World of Warcraft... and I have an awful feeling we're going to be let down as our expectations have been driven so high.

aww naughty naughty, You're not supposed to put you KOC links on message boards.
I've just had to start a new account and I'm doing very poorly so far.

You could be a real amazingly cool guy and click my link for me?

DISCLAIMER: Clicking my link will not actually make you cool!

IIRC, some java text-based game where you can earn yourself in-game money by getting other people to click a link with your referral on.

The rub is, they say it's perfectly legitimate to sell in-game money and items on eBay, if it's the one I'm thinking of - so they say you're not supposed to sneakily get people to click a referral link just saying it takes them to the game.

I believe they close peoples' accounts if they find that activity going on.

    Edit:
Ah okay, it seems I was thinking of a very similar sounding but different one - http://www.racewarkingdoms.com/ (and it's not actually text based)

Kings of Chaos is a game where you build troops by getting your friends to click your unique link and it gives you an extra soldier every time someone clicks on it. They can only click it once a day and from there they can also sign up from your link as an officer. Then when anyone clicks their link the guy who linked them gets a soldier aswell. A little complex. Anyway it's against Kings of Chaos T&C to post your links on messages boards but most do anyway. It's also not allowed ot have more than one account but most people have several all signed up under one big one to get lots of soldiers.
