    RAGE PC ending disappointment **Spoilers**

So, I completed RAGE today. I fought my way through Capital Prime, pressed the final switch of the Data Transmission Terminal on the Nexus Core, activated the satellite in orbit and all the arks around the globe immerged from the earth.
But no wait! Where is the final Boss fight and my fatty reward and who was general Cross?!
Also I was expecting a much larger last level and a more fierce resistance from the Authority troops considering this was their capital.
This was very underwhelming, quite a disappointment and a very short game considering how long this game had been in development, but its pretty obvious they left it open for a RAGE 2.
At least the world lay-out was semi non-linear and levels revisitable, but still multiple paths in each levels would have been highly appreciated like in Hexen, Heretic, Quake 1 & 2, Doom, etc...
Also the Wolfenstein 3D, Doom & Quake & Developers Graffiti Easter Eggs were cool touches and that huge Mutant Boss in the Dead City was so cool! It reminded me of the 1st Zombie Boss in House of the Dead 4 arcade game.
Also the authority prison stage was cool & reminded me of the Half Life 2 for some reason..

Wow well... let’s hope Doom 4 will be better.

I thoroughly enjoyed RAGE from start to finish. Couldnt put it down and finished it in a few days, around 25 Hours all told and I done all the job board missions and postal service stuff. Yeah, with that ending it is left wide open for a sequel, I was surprised there wasnt a final boss.

Like you mentioned though, the huge creature in Dead City was absolutely fantastic, quite a heart pounding battle given that you are given very little room for moving about.

I did like the locations, you could see there was a lot of work put into them. The final section with the scavenger type guys (forget their clan name) was absolutely immense. Loved all the walkways and the dizzying heights. Nice touch the pillar constructed in the middle of the canyon with zip lines etc.

The game mechanics were absolutely solid, everything you would expect from id software. I really dont understand the level of hate this game has been getting around the net. I appreciate that for quite a few users there were issues at launch but they did get them patched out pretty quickly. Its new tech, half to be expected given that there are so many different configurations of PC out there.

I do think that they could have done something a bit better with the ending video, it started off really well then just abruptly finished. I hate it when games do that, moreso when there has been a fair bit of time invested in playing the game to completion.

Well this is exactly why its not worth paying for these games.

The clan you refer to was Jackal clan. I loved those huge tankers stuck on those stone pillars! I wonder how they supposedly ended up there!

Nice touch the pillar constructed in the middle of the canyon with zip lines etc.

    I don't remember this?

When you first enter the area across the bridge you have to lower to get into Jackals hideout. The big construction in the middle of the canyon with all the bridges leading to and from it. Once you make it across to it you then work your way round it and then use the zip line to get back across to the rocks.

At this point the Jackals use the zips to get down to you.
