    I am the console king!

    Cos I now own a GC, X-Box AND PS2......

Got the PS2 today after a night of dance mat hilarity at Sairs.... cept the game I got today aint as good as Sairs one... its ok, but not as easy to play.

I'm off to try out the demo disk now...

Anyone reccomend a good two player game for me and the missus... something like atomic bomber man or that sort of light hearted fun?

GC... Nintendo have the whole 'seconds to learn, ages to master' thing down to a tee...

But then, I've hardly played anything on the X-Box and only got the PS2 today, so we'll see... but I've always liked the big N for its brilliant games

    Howdo Deck,

Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance It plays like Diablo and it can be 2 player simultaneous, pretty fun but me and the missus clocked it in around 12 hours and she doesn't play to many games at all. Its really good and fun regardless, believe the 2nd one is out now also.

    Tekken 4 nuff said !

Not forgetting the wealth of PS1 games you can also get that will run on the PS2

    My current list of consoles is;

Sega Megadrive, PS1, PS2 and X-box and will have a GC next time I go shopping

In terms of two player games -

Tekken 4 to relieve some tension, especially after having 'fun' with the kids

Burnout 2 - Madcap driving game involving lots of crashing !!

Also, have a look in the bargain bins as I've seen 'old skool' compilation boxes
If it ain't broke, fetch a bigger hammer

Burnout 2 is fun, can be played by 1 or 2 players and its out on Platinum now. First one was excellent and this one is even better, twice as fast and some of the crashes are amazing.

LOTR : Return Of The King is a decent slash em up and can also be played by 2 players simultaneous. This one was way better than Two Towers even though its kinda the same thing.

Shrek 2 has 2 player on it but I havnt played it yet as its just new out. Believe that its 2 player simultaneous however. Most likely more aimed at kids no doubt.

Sonic Heroes is a collection of the various different Sonic games including Dr Robotnics Bean Machine. Few of these games have the simultanious 2 player games on them.

Timesplitters 2 has a 2 player co op mode to play through the game. Really good this one, still play it now myself. Its a FPS and some of the scenarios are superb, personal favourite is the western scenario where you play a lawman. Its also very tongue in cheek humour with levels like the secret agent in latex from the 60s.

Then you have the usual EA sports games like Fifa and NHL. There are quite a few dance mat games, theres one called Space Station No 5 or something like that, this one was also out on the Dreamcast (Hexman will most likely know the exact name of it) I played it quite a while ago and you have to dance the aliens of the station, pretty fun. You also have the games like Medal Of Honour and Half Life where you can play deathmatch on it, not overly sure if they are 2 player co op though.

Tekken...Auran is pretty damn good at that

I love Tekken too......Tekken Tag is damn good value and pretty good for 2...

    but the obvious...the one...the only.....

Tetris Worlds....just awesome. I get more angry on that than I do on Il-2

Oh, and as Ferral has suggested Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 are good for a 2 player dungeon hack. Though you could just as easily get D&D Heroes for your X-box.

However, you get to play as Drizzt using Baldurs Gate if you like - I never really much cared for him to be honest, either in the RPG or in the books, as he's a bit of a nonce !! But that is an entirely different discussion ;-)

Timesplitters are good using lightguns, but compatability with TV's can be an issue :-)

Eye toy is supposed to be great fun and is probably a must if you like the dance mat one title called singstar that uses it is supposed to be very good.
Or Time Crisis 1/2 with a pair of light guns is a blast, I remember reading about Starsky & Hutch is a co-op mode with one light gun and the other driving sounds like real fun.
Other than that Tekken 4 and Tag, Gran Tourismo, loads of Street Fighter VS .... Games, Tiger Woods, Timesplitters...

FF-X2 although not 2 player is eye candy and worth a look.

Can I be the console king now?

Please don't tell me it's too much like a computer to be considered for the title. Perhaps I shouldn't mention I wrote some programs in machine code with a HEX editor cartridge.

Touch sensitive keys you know and you could fit different overlays. Played one of the first ever golf games... wooden tiger 2004 BC iirc!

I can tell you don't know much about sonic games,
Sonic mega collection is the 7 in 1 collection game with some of the great games originally from the megadrive (sonic, sonic 2, sonic 3, sonic & knuckles, dr robotnkiks mean bean machine, sonic 3d flickys island and sonic spinball) It's a great game, especially if you like retro/sonic.

Sonic heroes is the recentist game on ps2/xbox/gamecube
And it's really bad, all that team switiching, nothing like atrue sonic game anymore, getting to the end of the level and defeating big baddies is all you do, very poor, not worth it.

Timesplitters 2 also has mulitplayer 2-4 deathmatch. Which is very good but not as good as goldeneye
