I really liked Doom 3. Especially with the duct tape mod. Of course it's engine also lead to ETQW, a big personal favourite.

Looks like its built on the iD tech 5 engine that Rage was built on from memory. Doom 3 was a good game but the add on for hell is where the game went downhill for me. Hoping Doom 4 is a return to the years old formula that made Doom for me

I certainly approve of the setting. Seems like a big departure from the previous DOOMs....which I think is a good move.

Although, looking at them again, there's not much point in a duct tape mod this time

Hell was indeed pretty poor, but I have a bit of a soft spot for Id. I'd love there to be at least one 'Monster Closet'. Just for old times' sake.

Hopefully we'll get the full iD tech 5 engine this time - not compressed down into oblivion for the console babbys.
