    It's CounterStrike, but reworked on the HL2 engine. Has a few more nice graphics and you can "interact" with furniture by kicking it over. Joy..

    oh. right. might be good, i enjoy playing Deathmatch Classic (i.e. q1 multiplayer on hl) online

    thatll be so cool
    i wonder if when hl3 comes out theyl remake hl2 on the hl3 engine without all the gayness of source code stealing

    anyone else thing everyone is guna blatently call it cs2 or just cs as per usual n e way?

    and why arent they callin it cs2 after all?

    because it isn't actually a new game as to hazard the cs2 tag, the game is just a port of cs onto the hl2 engine, therefore it will be called cs:source, when they make a new cs specifically for hl2, then that will be called cs2, but this will not be shipped with the game, but cs:source will

    why not cs 1.7 then? if its the same game then surely its just the next version. But if they do make a cs2, what you guys think it would be like? How you think they could improve it and make a new game out of it?

    Because they are still working on the current Counter-Strike and will continue to do so as many people may stick by it.

    Ive already bought condition zero so I can jump on the source beta, should be happening in the next few weeks. Only de_dust though, which annoys the hell out of me. Its the getting shot in the face I dont really like.
