it was. carmack is an engine designer & physicist. other components of iD, such as romero & mcgee, made doom what it was with the designwork etc.
IMO nothing has ever toped the orginal Doom, and I just hope this is gonna be the one that can do it! I remember playing the Doom series as an 8 Yr old on my dads 486DX :D
I remember playing doom on the playstation, it was amazing! It had the best soundtrack ever! really creepy, kinda like the music at the end of full metal jacket.

Mail i recieved from mx2 says

ive just watched this

and john carmack clearly says.it was STOLEN from the E3 show
and became a warez on the internet.
But also goes on to say that the alpha has all been changed now........
so what you have or had isnt the same as the release
