mx1000 driver troubles!

Hi can you ps help? I have a mx1000 mouse and when i put in the Logi (setpoint drivers 2.40.855) i cannot get access to the tools tab on the logi splash screen, and if i go to the control panel mouse settings its exactly the same settings as before i installed the setpoint driver,surley this prog does not run in the background! So now i have a mouse where i cannot have use of all the buttons! Any thoughts?

As a side note, does anybody know where I can find out if there any updated versions of the MediaLife software?
I have the desktop bundle with the MX1000 mouse in it and it comes with the logitech medialife software, but nowhere can I find any updates, or even any info, on the software.

The setpoint software does run in the background. There's nothing much in the tools tab anyway, just Help, tour and ergonomic information. I suggest re-installing the driver and make sure that you have MX1000 selected, it should have asked during installation if i remember.

I am sure i remeber in my mx700 setpoint that there was 2 sets of settings where as i used to have the mouse/windows set at a very low setting and my setpoint at very high which gave me smooth cursor speed (Exllnt in games) ...but now all i have is i lot of settings!

In Mymouse you can change the curser speed. There are 3 tabs on the left, the middle one (mouse movement) should have what you want.

All i have is the control panel to adjust my settings and mouse properties via 'All progs' but they are both exactly the same thing! and if i go into the hardware tab via mouse propeties it says the device i am using is a HID-compliant-mouse and the Manufacteur is MS!

Ps i have tried twice uninstalling /Reinstalling and deleting the folders/files in :c also used ccleaners Reg clean, but still the same!
