Anyone else getting screen tears with Doom3? [I've got a US copy before the moderators start getting anal!] Even before the action has started I'm seeing it quite bad. p4/3.2 and Geforce 6800 GT, 1 Gig DDR ram.
Neil.

Turn vertical sync on
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
re: "Turn vertical sync on"
Default is OFF. I haven't seen any tearing on an exact same spec. system with it off. Maybe a monitor/set-up problem? All OK with 61.77 and DirectX 9.0c (yes, I know it's OGL). Maybe try plugging in a different monitor, if you have access to one; or try lowering the resolution and see if it does the same thing (i.e. go down to 640x480 and work your way back up in steps.)
Nomadd
You may have a similar system, but if he's getting FPS higher than his monitors refresh rate, then he should turn vsync on first.

its hooked up to two monitors running in clone mode - Panasonic Plasma via DVI and my normal CRT will also try disabling that.

Yeah that resolved it. I'm now getting a good solid picture - this game rocks!
Thanks again,
