A quick and painless way to test if the 3.9 betas improve your performance, especially if you have an x800 series.

    1. Download the exe package.
    2. Extract the package to a folder.
    3. Find the atiopengl.dl_ (or something similar to this)
    4. Open that file with winzip and extract it.
    5. Copy the file to the same directory as doom3.exe
    6. Run the doom3 benchmark to look for improved performance.

    To benchmark -
    1. "CTRL + ALT + ~" brings down the console
    2. Type "timdemo demo1.demo"
    3. "Enter" - it will give you the fps and total time at the end.
