    Duct tape mod for D3

Hooray! The game hasn't even been released yet in the UK and already someone has found a way of modding the game to allow the use of a light at the same time as a weapon:

I thought this looked a little 'wrong' when I saw the screenshot. Then I read the text: "these new lights are much narrower (and a little brighter) than the standard flashlight, and are only available on the basic weapons."

IMHO, that was a mistake. He should have left the milder, but wider, flashlight that ID designed, as it looked much more realistic. What good is a torch that only lights up one monster in 10 which may be infront of you, and even then over-light's it? Still, it's better than nothing, and I'd hope there would be some easy way to tweak it back to the standard ID model?

Now all we need is an 'Always Run' mod, to inject a little pace into what is a very slow, boring crawl and this game might be worth playing. Oh, and some better monster AI wouldn't go amiss. Who knows, mods might save this game (or at least make it worthy of 6 or 7 out of 10 for gameplay; there's only so much you can do with mods...)

it adds to the atmos having it thin and bright.. I was dissapointed to learn there was no torch strapped to any of the guns. I understand their reasons... but it kinda sux. So this is a good mod !

Also.. Allow people to do a COD style solid whack in the face with the butt of the shotgun and rifles would pwn. when u need to kill summat and the shotgun is out of bullets.

Just some thoughts.. I can't wait

hahaahahaahaahah hahah ah hahahha aahah a haah a
    i found this..

Bah there is a popup at that piccy link that tries to turn you to a premium rate service provider. Watch out.

Under the crazy presumption that a roll of duct tape has to exist somewhere on the Mars facility, the Duct Tape mod sticks flashlights to your machinegun and shotgun.

being purely innocent, I came in here expecting to find a new weapon in Doom 3

I have heard it is relatively easy in places SO I guessed you lot had found a mod where the only weapon is DUCT TAPE.

You press the fire button on your mouse and your character leaps onto the monsters head and winds metres and metres of sticky grey tape around his eyes, then binds his hands together and leaves the monster in the corner.

Just goes to show why I will NEVER be allowed inside the game design community

LMAO, you could also have the duct-tape canon, which fired rolled up balls of it (you know the ones you make when you get it wrong and the duct tape sticks to itself )

    A monster with no head?

Right...I'd go in the "Pube Removal" attack.....

You pull a length of Duck/t tape off the roll, and holding it sticky side out slide on your knees between the monsters legs, pushing the tape into his groin.....

this is where it gets clever...

as you slide through you allow the tape to unravel from the roll, and you then tie it off on a nearby pillar.

You then taunt the monster into choosing to pull off all his pubes, but get to eat you OR sit down and behave

You seem to know an awful lot about duct tape. Is there anything you'd like to share?
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

Have you never played rounders with a duct-tape ball and an old cardboard tube while you were bored at work before then?
