    Re: Sleeping Dogs

I have it, played 4hrs so far, mostly been doing side quests to earn some perks for main story.

Combat is very similar to Batman games, though not as snappy or consistent in pacing. Executing environment finishing moves is satisfying.
When driving, don't use mouse with keyboard as it can get disorientating. Even with the high res texture dlc there are areas where it looks bleh, but that's not much of a negative for me as I'm more interested in the story & gameplay.

    Here are my benchmark results

    Re: Sleeping Dogs

Also got this today, not had chance to play it yet as babysitting, will post some 670 benchs when i get home, apprently this is very heavy on ATI cards so nvidia cards don't benchmark as well as they should but will see.

Bah installed from disc and it still insists on downloading 1.5gig afterword to update it.

I've only played it for a few hours so far but I'm enjoying it. A few evening screenshots I took with everything other than SSAO and AA at their highest possible level at 1920x1080 with the HD textures installed.

    Re: Sleeping Dogs

Finished this on Tuesday night, good game, great story though I feel like it could've been a bit more fleshed out particularly at the end.
Demo is now available on Steam, worth a try on Steam at least & probably wait for the Halloween Steam sale.

I played the demo and went out the next day and bought it.

Really like the combat interaction and looks beautiful.

this looks good, how many hours game play do you get before you complete the game and will there be any download content coming out.

    Re: Sleeping Dogs

I'm hoping to catch this one in the next steam sale, it looks fairly interesting and what little I've seen of the gameplay it's definitely something I'd like to try. Not sure I'd want to pay full price though!

I finished in about 24hrs, didn't do a lot/all of the side quests as I wanted to focus on the main story. The side quests are decent if you want to take a quick break, I usually eat hot buns, get massages & drink herbal tea before going on my next main mission which is quite helpful if you don't have some of the more higher perks.

I did this in about 10 hours but I focused on the triad side all the way through practically.

It's good I wouldn't pay £30 for it as I don't see any replay value in it.
