    Best Flight Sim?

What is the best flight sim out at the moment? I not really looked into them since I last played Interceptor on the Amiga 500

Preferably one that does old and new planes, flying a spitfire is ok for a few min but I like modern warefare much better. Cant stand WW1/2 FPS's.

IL2 sturmovich is awesome for a "true style" combat sim
Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 - for "plane" flying.....
Lock on is also a great flight sim as well.

Best people to ask is prolly Zak33 as he's a bit of a flight sim guru from what I've heard

-Il2 Forgotten Battles + Aces Expansion pack for WW2 action, its the only choic for flying WW2 combat.
-LOMAC for modern day air combat, looks amazing, easy to get into, requires a hefty PC to run though
-Fs2004 for civilian/commercial flight, anything from helicopters to 747's, endless places to go/see planes to fly.

Those are the 3 main heavyweights.

    Skii to the rescue

Out of them 3 I prefer to play LOMAC as thats a more modern warefare style game with some really tough missions.

Ace Combat 4 on the PS2

If your looking for an arcadey sim thats a fun game. That said IL-2 and Lock On are not overly difficult to pick up and play. Falcon 4.0 is a very detailed sim, but a bit long in the tooth now, some fantastic mods available for it though. Flanker 2.0 is good also, but getting a bit like Falcon 4.0. MS Flight Sim 2004 is good if you like that sort of thing, some of the mods for that are amazing, I mean, if you want to part with the money, look at these screens.

Theres a link in my sig if you want to see what Lock On looks like.

Strike Fighters Project 1 if you want something a bit lighter & easier to get into than LOMAC & with a mostly 60's plane set.
get the patches & there are loads of user addons - more to come too.

It's not actually a game. Arcadey sims lemma think

    Novalogics F-22 Lightning 3

err... thats quite old, sorry, can't think of any new ones unless you want one for the X-BOX or PS2, in which case their are a fair few.

Crimson Skies is a bit old, but a great fun arcadey flight sim. And easily found in the £4.99 racks of shops....
