And a demo is going to be on the official PS2 mag apparently next month 50th issue or something :

Yes, we've got a massive treat in store for you - Burnout 3: Takedown finally hits the disc a full month before going on sale, serving up huge crashes, incredible speed and such beautiful visuals you'll be wiping a tear from your eye as you play. And with this being an extra-special month, we've gone out of our way to ram everything we can onto the disc, with eight other playable demos - almost all of which aren't even in the shops yet!

The rest kicks off with Star Wars: Battlefront, ready and waiting to show you just how much fun shooting Ewoks can be. And that's not to mention our top class demos of Second Sight, Silent Hill 4 and Psi Ops, as well as chances to get your hands on Crash Unlimited, Van Helsing and Ribbit King.

Also earnestly vying for your attention is a fresh bundle of footage, including Devil May Cry 3, Destroy All Humans, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Call Of Duty and more. All this, and don't forget our extras too - the PES Goals Of The Month, Ask OPS2..., Top Five Tips video and an exclusive and delicious Playboy Girls gallery. Enjoy!

Found the visuals a bit sharper on the XBOX version, TBH (have both a PS2 and XBOX).

Wasn't a great fan of the first Burnout, but Burnout2 was great. I've read two 'previews' of Burnout3 so far, one was very positive, the other a little negative, saying the immediacy and fluency of Burnout2 has been lost a little. I hope not. Screenshots and videos never tell the full picture (Doom3, anyone?), but hopefully the demo will give us a better idea of the actual gameplay. At this point in time, I'm still looking forward to it. Big crashes, here we come! :-)
