Agree with both of these. GT is a nice blend of non-hardcore sim and car buying/upgrading. A modern day ultima 7 would be great as well.

My point was these are parts never looked at and from the greman side, it fits well because they where out numbered but with better equipment and weapons, sounds like most single player first person shooters to me.
The responce, no reputable publisher would touch it and it would anger a lot of people, the fact you could make it historially accurate still wouldn't make it acceptable.

The one game I would love is remake AutoAssault with the CarWars lisence.
I bet this guy would have loved it! http://uk.news.yahoo.com/indias-hitl...091910801.html

I can see both sides of the argument. I would have thought though that couched in the umbrella of a total WWII FPS German based missions could be included - BF1942 has several German lead assaults (Ardenes, Stalingrad, Battle of Britain etc). So long as there was the option to play a campaign from either side (a la C&C Red Alert et al) then there would presumably be less of a problem than launching "Nazi Blitzkreig Kommandent 1939-1940".

Thinking about it, haven't there been games where you play a UBoat Captain hunting shipping in the Atlantic?

Re: What non-existing game have you always wanted to play?

A new Tie Fighter/Wing Commander game. I'm not interested in an all pervading MMO style setup. I just want to blow things up.

Also I'm surprised no one has released anything based in Stargate / Battlestar Galactica universes. So many opportunities for FPS/RTS/flight sim style games and a bit of a break from the old tired CoD etc formula.

I would love them to remake Shadowrun from the SNES and make it a FPS style game, with more open endedness ( is that even a word?)

Shadowrun was originally a pen and paper roll playing game.
There was a FPS shadowrun game, it's on xbox360 and pc, it wasn't very good and rapidly sank into quiet oblivion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowr...07_video_game)
It was the first fps game that allowed crossover play, ie xbox and pc players in the same game
AFAIK the official game servers where closed down, so I don't think you can play it any more.

There was a kick starter by one of the original rpg creators to make a new 2d tatical rpg computer game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowrun_Returns
It "should" be coming out some time next year.

    Supreme Commander 3.

    But..

Bigger, better and completely based on SC:FA and not the second consoley-fied one. Until then i'll keep chucking money at Planetary Annihilation and praying.

Actually, know what? I'd just like to see a big return of base-building-RTS' full stop. The RTS genre is pretty empty right now and modern 'takes' on RTS have erroded all the stuff I enjoy (the strategy part, the building part, the defending part).
