Im a little baffled by this, i will admit i dont think of politicians who kick back with a xbox controller for a few sessions of Fifa or COD, or slap their headset on, fire up their i7 rig and arrange a battle with an enemy WOW clan... but i cant think of any reason why doing so should be held against them.
According to their logic, I would be a genocide manic since I must have killed 10,000's if not more players online by stabbing them, shooting them, sniping them, shooting them, bombing them, blowing them up, running them over and 100's of other ways and as well abusing their players corpse after I killed them by teabagging them etc.
So on.
It humanisers her a bit, which I do like. I'm mad keen on team fortress 2 and planetside 2, as well as a whoooole host of old games I've lost touch with (age of empires, command & conqueror etc) but it doesn't make me some uber nerd incapable of normal life & roles...why should it a politician?
It does show just out narrow minded some people are out there though with their attitudes to gamers... hopefully with 180 million in the US this will back fire, especially once all the gaming sites get their teeth in!!
