You don't mention resolution, I'm guessing 1080p?
Budget?

The GTX 670 is the card to go for if you want to get great performance without breaking the bank.

If on more of a budget this card will be sufficient:

Battlefield 3 is one of the games where Nvidia do have an edge on AMD.
I'm running on a XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB on Ultra 1080p with no issue'sBit old now but great for the price now !!
Everything loads quick and the game runs smoothly with no stuttering or pause's !! Maybe it's to do with the rest of my set up![]()
You cannot be serious, the 6870 is not a remotely sensible card for the situation described, even the 650 Ti is better.
Firstly it isn't anywhere near fast enough for a smooth experience, and secondly it isn't even good value for money.
670 here on ultra at 1200p, no real issues though it is at the higher end of the budget range.
well i better take some photo's then !!
I will also say that since buying a new motherboard,DDR3 memory and a SSD drive my system can perform on the Ultra setting. I will run Fraps and see what my fps is running at![]()
LOL, photos of what?
the 6870 is great but its old i heard the 7870 is better than the 6870 ..........
Well if you like, but the only place I can find that card for less than the 660 is WAE+ and their reputation is dreadful and it still won't be as fast in BF3.

If you really want a 7870 I would reccomend this model:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-m...50mhz-hdmi-mdp
But it is more expensive and won't be as fast (in BF3).
The 7870 is also quite a bit louder under load (45dbA vs 28dbA according to techpowerup)
It's your money.
Willzzz , thanks for your help man and specially thanks for showing me sapphire link "http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-msi-radeon-hd-7870-twin-frozr-oc-4800mhz-gddr5-28nm-gpu-1050mhz-hdmi-mdp" i'll say if anything goes wrong
