    little bit of noob confusion!!

have just finished building my first pc (went without a problem...just ). am just a little confused at what to look for on the back of a game to match my processor. it obviously doesnt run at 2.6mhz, so if a game just has a processor speed on the box and it is above what my processor (actually) runs at but bellow 2600, will it ork on my pc.

i know this sounds a little confusing, but i'm sure you know what i'm getting at.

    cheers.

    Yeah, I understand.

I'd try and match Ghz on the box with the model number of your chip.

Some games even have too rating now - one pure Ghz for Intel chips and a model number for AMD chips. It's a bit confusing but I think AMD's model numbers are just about right.

I'd say theres nothing to worry about with xp2600 at the moment. Its way above minimum specs for games for a long time. So it should be enough to play things. I have 2500 and had no problems so far, all runs smovely enough, and i only have 9700pro.
