Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
I have 2 copies of The Bards Tale (2005 version) which I am doing this competition for :) A few quid spent to brighten up someones day is always cool.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/41900/
Everyone that has played The Bards Tale series in the past knows that he is a highly comical, womanizing, social drunk. They are great games even though the 2005 version was setup more like Diablo with a Bard as the central character. Still a great game in this universe and hopefully inXile will manage to include the original trilogy in Steam version at some point like they have done with the Apple versions.
So to be in with a chance of winning one of the 2 copies of the game is simple really.....
I am asking is for a humorous lyric, or a short poem or even a daft limerick, it doesn't have to be long. Try and keep it clean as we are a family forum so please show a bit of decorum if it is a dirty limerick. The script has to be inkeeping with The Bard himself from the game so watch a few vids on Youtube if you are unfamiliar.
Competition specifics :
1 entry per person (edits are allowed)
Must have been a forum user for at least a month with a minimum of 50 posts
Have an active Steam account so I can gift the game
Competition will run till midday Monday 22 October 2012
This is for the Windows PC version of the game
Once the competition closes I will put the entries to the rest of the mod / admin team to vote for their favourites (mods / admins entering will not be included in the vote understandably).
This competition and prizes are being given by me personally (Ferral) and in no way has anything to do with the guys that run HEXUS. The 2 copies of the game are already sitting in my inventory ready and waiting.

Cary elwes!
(no, not entering - one copy is more than enough)
Re: Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
I am horrible at writing any of that stuff
Given that they have made it so cheap and included 1,2 and 3 I just went ahead an ordered it.
But to anyone who is creative and like these types of games I highly recommend you take part as the game is ace

Ode to Ferral.
Never before did a man want it more,
Than the Bard's tale on that, Steam Store.
So he clicked and clicked 'til his finger was dead,
Little he did realise he'd ordered three copies instead.
Sympathy for him could be given in spades,
But instead we must ridicule him,
For his respect this degrades.
So Ferral I say to you sir - Well Done,
A give-away thread where mortals will come.
To spout their reasons for winning this game,
But compared to mine, their reasons are lame.
To this forum one day my contributions may be,
Seen as more than just plain crazy.
For now I feel i've said enough,
I'll sit here waiting til DR sees this fluff.
- Adeiu.

Re: Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
Although I'd like to report I have played it to death,
Dishonored for PC has my time taketh.
Though soon I will be taking it on,
So I'll report back as to what damage was done.
I've read lots of Bard's Tale,
Much regaled of it's whit.
So here's to the ale,
I'll be consuming with it.
Now I should really stop writing like this,
As many of you think I'll be taking the piss.
What fun it may seem writing in rhyme,
It's half ten in the eve and I'm wasting my time.

Bunji-web prose
Petal of rose
thorns from the stalk
no play and all talk ;)
Re: Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
I think Zak should write in rhyme all the time....
Re: Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
Bunji's Error
His request, while in jest
Fell not dead, but was read
But to ask 33 to rhyme
taking patience and time
with his need to type fast
and expound his thoughts, vast
was a flaw... not a draw
and stuck in his craw
so he did none... save one
more
Re: Competition - Bards Tale (2005 version) Steam - 2 copies up for grabs
ok... that was pretty good, even though I say so myself.
