EA games and their addons

rant here peeps

why does ea bring out addons galore for each title they have (must be on 8 for the dims now) but i dont care about the sims i play bf1942 allot online and at a lan, now ea have been really clever with this and when they brought out the first addon, each person needed a uniqe number etc etc but what did this expansion give you? 4 veichals 2 diffrent countys to play as and 2 maps ....... like you charge 20 quid for somthing that should be in a patch now they are realasing Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII that seems to add bugger all and looking on prorder you can get Battlefield Vietnam like its not on IMO

i hate ea......

i See your point mate. As you know I just dont bother installing RTR as I think its pointless. Not seen Secret Weapons yet but I'm interested in some of the vehicles it may add.

EA do seem to like to milk the Cash Cow tbh..

The whole CD problem from EA annoys me more though.

I want a bundle to come out and then i will buy battlefield, just at the moment it costs to much money to keep up with all the £20 addons all the time.

wsnt deleted mate sql database spat out its dummy so we had to revert to a backup from lastnight

2 maps ??!?!

What a joke.

Maybe they should take a leaf out of epic/ and digital extremes book, who give bonus packs away free to keep the game alive - usually with about 10 maps in each one + new game content.

Yeah, The Dims is the worst one for it to date. HMV has a pretty big section just for them also

Is that for generals?

I'm sure I've read the words zero hour addon somewhere before, not sure what it actually includes though......

the generals addon looks tobe orth getting but how about the next one and the one after that and the one after that?

there probley wont be another.. if ya think of all the C&C series they only usually release one addon or maybe 2, but then they just bring out a new Game.. but i wouldn't mind if they did as logn as they keep making the game better, which Zero Hour will most definitly do.

This is what im worried about to.
EA have a habit of milking things.
Generals is a good game,. im just wondering how much they are going to "push" it before trying somthing new.

but that was when westwood did c&c now its ea gays lets make asmuch $$ as possible my using built up game names like c&c and publish a game they know will sell alot just beacuse of the name and it be tosh

Im really not lloking forward to Dune now that EA has the rights to make it
