    Anyone got a Game Park

As the thread title really, I was wondering anyone had a GP32 and what there thoughts on it were.

Quite tempted to get one as they seem pretty nifty.

Had one for ages now probably cant talk about most of its benefits (roms and emus). The 1 major selling point to me though was the fact that it'll play mp3s and itll play old Lucas Arts adventures. It really is a great pice of kit, im surprised that it didnt get a world wide release as it beats the pants off of GBA.

    128mb smartmedia.

i hear you can use larger with a smartmedia-to-xd convertor, but over 128mb it gets buggy & may throw up read errors

    spazman, don't forget gpcinema & divx-related goodness

About how many meg per second does it take up for divx of goodish quality? Also does it come with a program to resize video files to the right size?

there's an offical program to do the dirty, but it's not as good as virtualdub in terms of speed & quality.

    and it's about a meg a minute if you're feeling particularly destructive (i.e. want a 2-hour film)

It'll take some 256meg cards, but IIRC they have to be some special lower voltage ones that are rare as hell. I just got 3 128meg cards does the business nicely. How did i forget about the DivX playback great for watching futurama at work. Oh and if your getting one DEFINATLEY get the one with the backlit screen, my mate has one without it and its worse than the GBA, you need football floodlights to see it.
