    I've played the demo and also played Game Dev Story on my android. I found both pretty good so I plan on getting it as soon as it appears on steam!

    So, you'd rather wait for a version with extra DRM and a cut of the profit going to another company?

    Still if, it's a necessity, from the website;
    Steam: When the game becomes available on Steam (ETA Aug 2013) we will send out steam keys to existing customers via email.
    Not played it yet myself, but the demo is on my to-play list, not sure if I'll like it.

    I've played this, definitely a rip off of Game Dev Story but still really fun nonetheless. Sips from YouTube brought my attention to it at first.

    I'm worried that I'm going to buy this, and then play it all the time, forever. I loved GDS although it offered limited replayability once everything was unlocked.

    I'd say that fairly well sums this up too, it's also hideously formulaic when it comes to making the games, there's some random elements too which make it annoying in that you can get massive hit, reload, do the exact same thing and not get a massive hit.
    I think there's some sort of random boost that kicks in every now and then.

    I still think that this is a blatant rip off of Kairosoft's version on mobile platforms. Ok some tweaks here or there, but why would I effectively buy the same game again?

    Re: Game Dev Tycoon - Anyone else playing it?

    Having done a bit more reading I've decided to go ahead and wait for the sequel. The devs themselves acknowledge the limitations of the game as it stands, but hopefully version 2 will be significantly fuller-featured and polished.

    I'll pick it up if it appears in a sale though, just for the clickcersise.
