Cheap'n'cheerful LAN games

Hi

Could anyone recommend a freeware multiplayer LAN-based game for three to four players? Something like a bomberman clone or micro machines racing or stuff of that ilk. Nothing modern or FPS stylee so no recommending Enemy Territory or FarCry - this is purely five-mins lag-in-work see who has to make the next round of coffee stuff.

Dungeon Siege, Never Winter Nights are both very cheap now (sub £10) and hours and hours of fun on a PC LAN

Turn the PC's off.

Walk to centre of room, and stand back to back, facing different directions.

Close eyes.

All move left 3 steps.

Keeping eyes closed, RUN FORWARD

Listen to the grunts of pain.

Last one to make a noise is the hardest

first one to squeal makes the coffee.

When you are out of casualty, go back to work.

I play Age of Mythology: Titans with the missus... the gold edition (including the original game and the titans expansion) is £27 from Play, though. You'd probably be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

She loves playing it, but isn't too keen on getting her bum kicked by myself so we play co-operative against the computer on the hardest setting. Lots of fun, if the company is good.

Does Re Volt work on Windows XP? I remember playing the demo on my win 98, I loved that game.

original unreal tournament is best for office lan games! just love it - and it's dirt cheap too....
and of course - star craft is pretty cool too

It worked with win2k but to be honest haven't tried since i installed XP, but i reckon that it will, give it a whirl as is a good crack
