    Re: Watch Dogs trailer

I haven't seen that trailer, but I think I will be buying this game, possibly as a pre-order, as many of the trailers I've seen have left me with the impression that it will be amazing.

Looks good, but have to admit that I saw a trailer/ advert on youtube a while back, and thought that hahum "film" looks good.

I don't know about that! "Slightly ragged outsider takes down rich people who are up to no good" is a pretty common story. That said, it does look like it's going to do it very well

Yeah I know, I've been eagerly following this one for a while. We'll have to wait and see if it's got any surprises I suppose, but the themes they're presenting in the FMV trailer and the very first gameplay demo are pretty clear. The two minor antagonists so far are just like any targets in Assassin's Creed.

There's potential for it to become interesting though. It could be great if we play it for a while thinking we're the hero, and then slowly discover we're actually the bad guy, although given that it's got "franchise" written all over it perhaps that's unlikely.

I think it's kind of like GTA in this respect; as long as the story feels like a movie, it'll be very satisfying even if it doesn't break new ground. As you say, it's the tech-related gameplay that's the real selling point, so all the overall story has to do is not bore us and it'll be an excellent game.

Hey, I wonder if one of our friends will double-cross us?
