DOOM 3 Faster FPS

Dont know if anyones aware of this but if you extract the contents of the main PK files to the directory they are in this should increase your fps as it dosent have to constantly access the highly compredded PK files all the time.

yup, along with setting up the precache so it doesn't have to hammer the hdd every time it loads a new area..

Pity it sucks ass as a game though

its a very small performance increase tho, not really worth wasting the HD space

Shouldnt make any difference at all as a matter of fact. The only difference it would make if your computer is so slow it has to keep accessing the HDD during play, and then it would still be unplayably slow anyway
