Hexus CS:Source

Ok its been briefly discussed in another thread, but since CS:Source is out now i thought it warrented its own

Firstly opinions on it? I would say its a mixture between 1.5 and 1.6, not as good as 1.5 but not nearly as bad as 1.6 which can only be a good thing. Engine looks amazing, and performance is good on my system - all options maxed out, 1600x1200 and i get 40-60fps all the time, never below 40

Not many maps atm but i'm sure we will have conversions of all the greats soon cs_siege would be cool, along with cs_arabstreets and cs_thunder...those 3 are some of my favourite CS maps

Secondly, who would be up for a CS:S hexus clan? If we could get enough ppl - say 8 or more [no limit on numbers really] I'd be interested I'm already playing with the tag of Hexus|Spud1 so you'll know its me if you see that on a server.

Doesnt even have to be a competative clan, just playing with those tags on would let you know when playing with your fellow hexites - i dunno, just a thought

Its great, need more maps that use the new features though, only Italy and Office really shine for me, can spend hours playing with melons and bananas in the market
and office has too many great touches to mention not least the windows! power point presentation and motivational posters! oh and filing cabinets!

Im up 4 a clan! new to online gaming but i play FPS everynight.

my mate has been trying to get me to play this - i was a quake 3 kinda guy and missed half life almost entirely played CS once. I play A LOT of Enemy Territory late at night and at weekends - i will use the tag if i start playing it, i will be Hexus|Easy Kill

not to sure all i did over past few days was install steam brought my package gold edition and clicked on the cs source play game button it installed About 1hr i think then i was ready to play. so i guess my key is in my purchase.

Ok i wanna get this with Half life 2 when it's released. So i just installed steam and the prices are in dollars? When Half life 2 is shipped does it come from the States?

yep you have buy hl2 on source now to play it or wait for the retail version of HL2 its on there as well dont be fooled buy the $89 cause after shipping and taxes etc its $135 for gold (cs:s is on the bronze vesion i think) $135 prob around £80. still it didnt stop me!
