    Thumbs up Splinter Cell

What do you lot think ?

I personally love this game to death i lil bit linear in pathways... but those paths have so many ways to be done.

shoot em, use em as a 'hostage', stealth around them, distract them...

Im only a short way in, just got the predator heat vision thing

It's worth a play. Had me on the edge of my seat (ok, floor) a few times, especially towards the end where I finished the game killing the last guy with my last round of ammunition!

Gets a bit "samey" here and there, and I doubt I'd install it again for a replay, but I enjoyed it none the less.

Splinter Cell is just pure game quality

It starts fast and really doesn't let up. There aren't that many full on fighting scenes, it is a more stealth & stun game. It is totally addictive.

I've played it through once and now about 1/3 of the second time around, just want to see if there are different ways of achieving the same goal.

No spoiler but one level with mines...

The mine level is seriously hard! took me a good few goes to get that right

As for the last 4 guys - i had run out of bullets the 2nd time round playing it and had to use a combo of sticky cameras, electro-shockers and rubber rings to knock them out lol

I actually didn't like the game, but then i love running around, guns blazing killing every1 in sight. Splinter cell involved alot of sneaking and hiding which seemed a bit pointless. With the same equipment, and alot more guns, you'd have 1 of the best games ever.

Does George Bush count as a government operative??

The whole idea of the game is to preserve your ammo and be stealthy. Quite a few times I ran out of ammo and had a very tough time trying to end the levels with no ammo whatsoever. Its a different genre to fps, its a tactical espionage game, like MGS but with less carnage.

No way was metal gear solid (the first 1 anyway) stealthy. As soon as i got the box, i ran around in it all the time, wheres the skill in playing a game where you are a box with little legs who hides whenever someone walks round the corner.

Lol i've gotten quite a way into Splinter Cell and sortof gave up, I have full ammo, stickyshockers etc because I hardly ever kill anyone, I do my damndest to get behind them, grab them and knock them out, there are times when guns are unavoidable though. Overall a good game but it didn't make me want to finish it...
