PS2 on a diet or WHAT?

Just seen a new slim version PS2!!!

    That IS thin...and small...and light...and HOW COOL

    Was bit shocked...thought I was seeing a rip off, makybe a PS1 rejigged or modded...but nope....TINY PS2.

Thats gonna sell again now isn't it....until PS3 arrives!

cunning marketing bods at it again to squeeze a few more million quid out of what is now a very old console,

think they have started seliing the psone as a car entertainment option now, including 5 " tft and car lighter power inverter

    yes...they have.

Dont think the PS2 can be considered as a rip off tho...its cheap now...its tiny...its worth having a second one in some houses. And it will fit on a shelf with the books!!!!

Good karaoke games and dance mats

    oh...and GT3
and PRINCE OF PERSIA which IS better with a control pad.

I promise.....Prince of Persia Sands of Time makes it ALL worth it

its the best console game I have played for a very long time

Is this PStwo quiter than a normal PS2? I believe the PSX (the silver one) is very quite, and has lots of features packed it, but is this one the same?

um do remeber that they kinda sold out of the slim line... most places seem to still be waiting on sony to make and send out more tis nice and small tho but the only real advantage i see is that its already network capable... least they could have done was build in a mem card tbh

THey are gorgeous, however as Geist said, its very low stock everywhere at the moment as its extremely high demand.

In the store I work in in Cheltenham we sold out within 3 hours on its release day, and again within 5 hours on the replenishment day.

I have one myself and yes it is tiny, and yes it is worth it. They are completly silent, plays DVD-Rs and looks so cool to boot.

We're doing them at £99.99 with any game up to £19.99 and a free 2nd controller, so they are really good value aswell.

As Geist said, will Sony ever buck their ideas up and build in the memory?....PS3 hopefully!

Oh, and we probably wont be seeing the PSX in the UK due to the abysmal performance in Japan.

Next Sony console on the horizon is PSP in about April.

Just thought you might like to know that the PStwo is in stock on play.com but I think it's more expensive than usual (high demand).

    http://www.play.com/play247.asp?sear...Go.x=23&Go.y=9

After reading the reviews, I think I'm going to be getting one of those. From what people have said, it seems like it might fix my problem .
