Far Cry 4 announced! PS4 PS3 XB1 XB360 PC(Nov 18 USA - Nov 20 EU - Nov 21 UK 2014)

Announced today, Far Cry 4 will release this year on November 18 in the US and November 20 in EMEA territories. The game will be available on both generations of consoles – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 – along with Windows PC.

Taking a sharp turn away from the lush island jungles of the top-rated Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, an untamed region currently ruled by a despotic self-appointed king. But don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by the achingly beautiful views; Kyrat is a wild land full of perils. Once again, players will be able to craft their own stories as they travel through this exotic open world teeming with wildlife – using their wits along with an assortment of powerful weapons and diverse vehicles.

“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”

Development on Far Cry 4 is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Kiev.

I have an odd relationship with Far Cry. A few months after I worked in Africa, Far Cry 2 came out and now, after working in the Himalayas this past March-July, Far Cry 4 comes out! Maybe I should work in Australia next...

It is the only game series I pre-order. It's a refreshing fps that breaks the COD/Battlefield standard and a game that I keep coming back to.

Come to think of it, having Far Cry in Australia would be a terrible idea. We would have spiders with life bars and sharks that make the Far Cry 3 sharks look like Nemo. Far Cry 5 should be in Canada. The worst enemy? Moose.

The Siberian tiger is endangered though. It'd be like one of those "rare" hunt missions in Far Cry 3, except after completing the mission and skinning the animal, you'd go to jail for animal poaching. Far Cry 5 location: Russian gulag; where the animals in the prison are just as dangerous as the animals outside the prison.

What is it with the Far Cry franchise suddenly creating some of the best villains in the gaming industry? First Vaas, now Pagan Min? I am gonna buy this game exclusively to see how far the rabbit hole goes with him. High expectations since FC3

I still haven't finished Far Cry 3, 10 hours in, around a 3rd of the map uncovered and only just met the woman that wants you to retrieve the dagger. I do keep getting sidetracked on it though!

Loving this game

Such a joy playing this and although i aint running at 60fps on ultra. am getting a solid 30-45fps at 2560x1600 res on my 30inch monitor.

Would buying another 780gtx get me to 60fps at ultra or is SLI broken on this game?

I want to buy it but after recent UBI releases I am put off......a lot of posts saying "FC3 with elephants" isn't helping either
