go on, do it
I'm looking forward to it - kinda glad it's coming out after the bank holiday too, as this weekend I have reserved for Wolfenstein.
Ooh, PC Download of Deluxe edition is £5 cheaper than Steam and Uplay..... I think we have a winner!
Yeah, I normally don't go for all this extra special crap, I just want the game! However, there seems to be quite a bit of additional game play (not just aesthetic rubbish) for an extra fiver.
Friend just offered me any game I like on Steam, regardless of cost, as a birthday present.
Haven't had my heart set on anything, but have heard a bit about Watchdogs. Is there a demo to play? Will have a hunt.
Also considering Titanfall, new Wolfenstein etc.

I manged to get this on pre-order for £23. I booked the wrong week off of work though! So I'll be playing this bit by bit this week.
I'm 50/50 as to what it will be like, I know what UbiSoft are like!
As with all ubisoft titles, no dedicated servers, so definately a miss for me

Well, things are looking a little suspect (for PC at least) with the reviews coming here:
http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/watch-dogs
User's are giving it below 5/10 on average and the "review" sites are giving it 81% on average so far. No doubt IGN will give it an inflated score too.
Most of the poor reviews seem to be coming from PC gamers - which isn't a great surprise as WatchDogs is (and always has been) a console game that would be ported to the PC. Always infuriates the PC crowd and rightly so.
If you play the game as intended though (on a XBO/PS4) it's a lot of fun, with non of the graphical/control issues that the PC version suffers from. I would personally give it a 7/10 after 5 hours gameplay, and characterise this as "GTA IV with a hack button and an ounce of Thief ". Essentially if you liked GTA you will like this, especially if you want a bit of stealth thrown in.
Some of my favourite moments include car chases which spread out over the entire city, before being brought to a close as I hack the traffic lights and then bollards to cause a huge RTA killing half the police, or the first time you need to assault a building but rather than going in guns blazing, you just hack your way through the security cameras (including FOV cams on guards) to get to your target (which again you must hack). Much easier and cleaner.
It does suffer from fairly poor voice acting though and also from my biggest gripe with any open world adventure - the fact it's too open. There is simply too much to do, so I end up never feeling like I know what I should be doing next. Do I just go from career mission to career mission? That removes the uncertainty and makes things more fun, but I feel I am missing out then. I hate that with GTA in the same way though, so thats not a criticism of this particular game, more of the genre.
Well worth picking up though, especially on a next gen console. I enjoy Wolfenstein more though.

People keep telling me it's nothing like GTA (I've answered many people by telling them I won't be buying WD due to it looking like GTA, which I find truly repetitive).....nice to hear someone who has actually played it saying it is. Money staying in pocket this time thanks![]()
