What options for playing NTSC games on PAL PS2?

Just wondering what options I have as im quite disgusted by the release date differences between UK and USA

or you could buy a usa ps2 as well as your uk one

What about something like HDLoader or Action replay? Can they make the PS2 play NTSC?

I have a Region X disc that allows me to play any region DVDs so im wondering if they have soemthing similar for games

I have just read that the latest version of HDAdvance will allow me to play NTSC games, thats a relief, and no NTSC-to-PAL converter needed.

I use a flip top lid, most new TVs r all NTSC compatible these days n e way.

Anyone know of any HDLoader or HDAdvance UK forums? I need to find out for sure if i can play NTSC games

Yes you can play them. I have to inject the ISO images onto the hard drive from a PC (or via FTP server on the PS2) though and not rip them straight from the disc as the PS2 still has to recognize and approve the disc... Not sure if / how the latest version of HDAdvance gets around this but if you're willing you can do it the same way I am (or get a flip top lid / do the cog swap trick). Not all games work with HDAdvance / HDLoader (most notably Gradius V doesn't work)
