    Official NFSU 2 thread

Not much has been said about NFSU2 in here!

Gotta admit, I do love it, been playing it almost non-stop since I got it (monday)

What do you lot think of it?

Why is the music not only worse than the original, but the quality is so poor compared to it also?
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

I can't really complain about the music (aimed at youger people admittedly) but I think the quality is pretty good.

Lots of stuff to customize, lots of races, nice cars

Ok, so it can't compete with real car tweaking, but after all, it is only a game.

Only thing I don't like is the cut scenes, make it look cheap and nasty

A great improvement on the first one - the music has improved as well Much more rock than hiphop

Its also alot longer than the last one - I finished the first one in 2 days flat, this one I've been going on and off for about a week and I'm still only 60% through

I gotta admit that i really like this game. It looks great on my system, at 1280*960. It was a little strange at first, what with the map and figuring out what to do next, as its alittle more free-form than the first one, in that you can filter and pick what to do next. I dont like having to travel to differnet types of shop to do different things, as i keep forgetting what each one does!! Bur honestly, its very addictive, definitely the "one more race" syndrome which is good as you can attempt the game in small chunks.

I also found that if you are too lazy to actually drive to the races themselves, go to the main menu (once youve started explore mode) and take the world map option. It then lists all the available races in that section, saying completed or not and then you can race it bu just picking one. Also good for going back to that fave drag!

As for the music, there is less hop hop, which is good for me, but the tunes dont seem as adrenaline inducing as the first one though imo. There is still no other racing game that gives a better feeling of speed though. Not bad, a decent EA sequel!!

@myth, there is definitely some sort of option problem there, as im not even running in 1600*1200 -im in 1280*960 - and its definitely sharper than that. Try disabling some/all of the motion blur/llight trails etc, just to try and pinpoint the problem.
