    Lords of the Fallen

Currently on Steam sale for £11.99. Watched some videos, piqued my interest, investigated further on forums, Steam community and more review videos. The general consensus is that it's a very nice looking game, with brilliant combat and is really difficult. The downside? Plagued with CTD's and poor camera control.

There was a patch recently which is supposed to have fixed some stability issues, but I am finding little info if it's worked or not. The 13 page thread on the Steam forums about this patch suggests it hasn't fixed them, but I don't really want to read through 13 pages of trolling to find out.

    Is it worth a try?

    Re: Lords of the Fallen

I played through it start to finish pre patches and it worked fine for me, I would recommend using a controller on it over keyboard and mouse as it plays just like the souls games but not as frustrating.

No idea what the issue is with the camera, it worked in the way it should from day 1, may just be an isolated thing on some systems.

    Re: Lords of the Fallen

Watched a YouTube interview with one off the developers playing a 7 minute chunk with a few fights and a boss. Looked absolutely great. Never played the souls games but I get the idea and think it's similar. Lots of planning how you're going to go into each fight rather than just wading in.

    Re: Lords of the Fallen

Started playing this recently after picking it up cheap.

I do occasionally get a CTD (the only game that I have that does it!) but it seems to save often enough that it's nothing more than time wasted booting the game up again.

I was finding it very difficult until I realised I was at the 4th boss without banking any XP......had to go back and kill everything again and bank some (and spend it!)

Fights are a learning curve and the graphics are decent....

    Re: Lords of the Fallen

I really liked the game, bosses, AI, fights, graphic, story and weapons!
Overall was a good game. 8/10
