midtown(Xplosive range) i would think this is the first game, just released by xplosive who are a value games company, i dont really know much about this game but i think if your looking to play all 3 then get those two. As for the release date a search through google just takes me to the xbox game so i have no idea.

Midtown Madness (Released on Xplosive) is the first Midtown Madness, i've got both (original and 2) and I have to say if you're gonna buy anything, get Midtown Madness 2.

It has lots more over the original, more cars, better graphics, better city, lots of stuff really

Midtown Madness 3 looks alright, even if they arn't releasing it for PC...

Well this brings back memories I remember playing Midtown Madness back in the day on PC . But that was before R* took everything i liked about MM and put it into the greatest game i've ever played

Has the MM serious seen any major changes since the first one?

no, MM2 is basicaly the same, only better graphics, a few extra maps thown in, and newer looking cars - and its less hardware demanding

    - but you still got you Cruise, blitz race, checkpoint races, etc
    - and COPS AND ROBBER, wow thats game never gets old, ten of your mates on a massive free for all multiplayer, oh yeah!!

it was on our schools LAN, all sitting in the IT room!

In cops and robbers, the are to bases, and gold bar, cops (poeple driving cop cars) take the gold bar to the "BANK" base, and robbers (driving other cars) take the gold to the "hideout"

    - you can eather play as team (Cops Vs Robbers)
    - or you can play "free for all" - just playing for your self
    - and you can lock it so that you can only use the mustangs, which make it 100% fair, becuase both cops and rober have the same car (MM1)

and you can get the gold off poeple my crashing into there car, and you can also set the "weight" of the gold, ie how much it slows down your car when you have the gold (which make it more funn, becuase its harder to get away)

    - it really is a great game, and will happyly runnin on your average school PC - ours where duron750's, with 64mb ram and a geforce2mx

It works fine online - unless your playing with people you know (and can swap IP details over MSN or something) use TheZONE to join games.

MidMad3 was originally going to be released for PC (theres an interview about it on IGN) although its been so long since release on XBox I doubt there going to bother ... shame really.
