Exclamation Pink/black squared walls in CS:S

Usually, when I try to join a game that has a map that I haven't downloaded, it gets it for me, which is good. But most of the time, when I try to join a game that isn't using one of the maps that came with the game (ie one that I downloaded), the walls don't look right. Instead of having "wall" textures etc, they're filled with pink/black squares.

    * Has anyone else had this?
    * Does anyone know how to fix it?
    * Has this post made any sense?

I've had this occasionally in HL2DM - seems to fix it for me if I just disconnect and reconnect again... Had wondered if it was me overclocking my 9800 too high but it seems to be a bug.

The black and pink squares are a default texture which is used in place of missing textures. Basically it either can't load the texture or the texture isn't there which means that there may be something wrong with the install.

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting again, but that didn't work. I only haven't tried quiting and tring again after that.

When I ask if others in the game have the same problem, it's always a "No".

I don't know what stage in development the maps are, but other people in the game said they didn't have that problem. It doesn't seem to happen to all maps either - I've got at least 1 maps OK.
