    Twitch

Does anyone here go on twitch much. I can of find it odd to watch random people play games. Having said that when years ago sitting on sofa watching friends play was funny or 'local mutiplayer' as the marketing bods call it these days. Just that everyone is online now I guess. Are there any actual good twitch broadcasters?

    Re: Twitch

I personally prefer the pleb streamers

Mitch Jones (watchmeblink1) is hilarious and I watch him whenever he is streaming no matter who else is on. He's mainly a WoW streamer but is attempting to quit and venture into other games - check him out!

    Re: Twitch

I never understood the whole Twitch thing. Why would you spend your time watching people play games, when you can, er, play games?

I watch a lot of Youtube videos about games, mostly Minecraft based to get ideas, or see how some of the more complicated mods work (like the new AE2, talk about head****). But I do this whilst playing, or on a lunch break at work.

What do you get from watching Twitch?

There are a number of reasons but for me it's the same reason I watch the Youtube videos. For competitive games like HOTS and Hearthstone it's good to watch the pros play it on the spot, you can learn a lot from the way they play (including the mistakes they make). Also, it's often the case that the commentary is very entertaining and so you become just as invested in the personalities as you do the game. And then you get those one off streams like Twitch Plays Pokemon (I know it's technically still going but the playthrough of the first game was magical) and Old Spice Nature Adventure. Those were hilarious to occasionally tune into and watch the antics unfold.

    Re: Twitch

I use twitch mainly to watch eSport competitions (CS:GO, DOTA2 and League of Legends) there's also the odd conferences, like E3 - it is much easier to access E3 now than it felt half a decade ago

Depends what you like, if you like any sort of FPS games, Sacriel is worth checking out, if simulators are your thing check out Squirrel, for someone who seems like a human wiki for every game try Fireytoad or for a crazy geordie guy MahdDogg.

    Re: Twitch

I've watched a few of Lobos Jr's streams playing Bloodborne and Dark Souls but only specific speed runs/runs that really, really interested me. Other than that to be honest I'd rather play a game than watch someone else play it.

Same here. Only watched Twitch for Souls games. Lobos had some awesome runs in the past. The gravelorded, aggressive mod comes into mind
